We are happy to finally announce the launch date of the podcast edition!
What kind of podcast is this?
The best way to describe it is a hybrid between an actual play podcast and an audiobook. Our text “episodes” are heavily edited versions of our session logs; each podcast episode will be a recording of these episodes read aloud. To that end, it will be a purely narrative podcast; in any given story episode, there will be no rolling or out-of-character talk.
We do, however, plan to release a number of intermittent episodes where the GM and players discuss various topics related to our game and L5R in general.
What should I expect on April 5th?
Our first episode will be an out of character discussion intended to ease you into our AU Rokugan. You’ll get to know the GM, Arielle, as well as the players from our first chapter/season. We’ll discuss how our Rokugan differs from canonical Rokugan, themes that are present in Shadows in the West, character dynamics, etc.
We will also release the 20 Questions episodes for each of our player characters at the same time! Our first official campaign episode will follow on April 19th, and from there we will release an episode every other Thursday.
